Just curious if anyone here is trying to manage their depression or anxiety without taking prescription medications? I have recently started seeing an acupuncturist regularly, taking Chinese herbs for anxiety, exercising, and trying to eat a balanced diet. I also take additional vitamins and trying to get enough sleep. I was quite unhealthy over the holidays in terms of eating poorly, drinking alcohol, and not exercising. That seemed to really take a toll on my mental health and confidence. I am committed to trying to be a healthier, happier person. Even though I know I will have my slip ups, I really am going to try to see if a more holistic approach to managing mental health helps me overall.
Anyone have advice or suggestions on things they have tried that have helped?
